Ms. Ruhina Prasad has pursued an extensive academic journey in English studies and pedagogy. She holds a Master’s degree in English, a Bachelor’s degree in English Honours, and additional qualifications in teacher education including a Bachelor of Education and a Montessori Training Course. She has also undertaken advanced research studies, pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in English with a specialisation in Indian writing, with a focused interest in Dalit feminist studies. Her academic foundation is further strengthened by her schooling through the National Institute of Open Schooling, which instilled a solid grounding in liberal studies.

Experience

Ms. Prasad has built a rich teaching career across diverse institutions. She is presently engaged as a Research Scholar and Teaching Fellow in the Department of Humanities and Social Science at Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur. Here, she teaches professional communication, technical writing, soft skills, business communication, and workplace security across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Her earlier teaching roles include positions as a TGT English teacher at Sanskriti Public School and Stepping Stone Inter College in Gorakhpur, where she contributed to strengthening the language and communication skills of senior secondary students. She began her career as a primary teacher at Nalanda English Day School in Kolkata, where she laid the foundation of her teaching expertise.
